GROOM YOUR OWN DOG

This course is for owners who wish to learn to groom their own breed of dog or for those who would like to learn to groom a specific breed.

The course is designed for dog owners who wish to learn how to groom their dogs in the specialised manner necessary to meet breed standards. However, if you have a working knowledge of this and feel the need to invest in improving your grooming technique, it is also for you. 

This course consists of 5 days (tailored) to include tuition in practical training.  

If necessary, we can specialise much of this course's content in the grooming requirements for a particular breed of dog. 

Should a student have a dog(s) that they wish to have firsthand experience handling while undertaking this type of grooming, we will be pleased to arrange for you to bring them along.  

Students should have their grooming equipment  (including grooming clippers), and we are happy for you to bring this along. However, we can provide our learners with all the kits they will need to enable them to become fully functioning and professional at a very low cost. We will advise all students on the equipment they will need to bring. If you need to purchase any equipment before or after your course, we will be happy to provide supplier details should you need it  (some of whom we have preferential terms agreed with for our students). 

This course is structured to give you the ability to style your own dog. If you require something specialist, such as hand stripping, or if you wish to be taught about a specific breed, please let us know at the earliest possible time, and we will endeavour to include it. 

Former students from any of our dog grooming courses always have the facility to use us as a help and advisory service throughout the rest of their grooming career.
