Every student is encouraged to learn at their own pace, and given a chance to work on dogs of varying breed, size and coat types, preparing them for the realities of running, or working in a salon. 

Upon starting my course, I was made to feel incredibly welcome, and part of the team, and upon receiving my qualification, the riverside team helped find me incredible opportunities to work in local salons & kennels.

I would like to take this opportunity to both thank the staff and recommend the service offered by The Grooming School. 

I found the entire course to be a happy experience, from the first I was welcomed warmly, and any nerves I had were gently calmed. The encouragement and professional advice I received eased me into a comfortable learning experience, each day offered new challenges and reinforced lessons learned, skills were taught and developed at a pace that was tailored to each student, and at no time was a tutor more than a few feet away.

One of the things that I found to be most refreshing, was that previous students were not only welcome to return and further develop their skills but positively encouraged to do so, the atmosphere engendered by this "familial" attitude made for a very pleasant introduction to the world of professional dog grooming !

        I was able to concentrate on aspects of Grooming that I found difficult, and helped to improve in areas that I found less challenging. Advice on equipment and on developing business plans was freely given and I felt very comfortable asking for help be it manual or verbal. At no time were my mistakes treated as anything other than understandable errors, and more importantly I felt that any " praise" or positive comments I received were earned and not simply given as part of a routine .


  Amanda and Chloe were very friendly, flexible and supportive they along with the absolutely wonderful array of dogs I had the pleasure of Grooming made the entirety of my training a pleasure from start to finish! ( one small warning though, you will want to take all the dogs home with you)

You have all given me so much, my nerves were shot when i arrived not only because it was new  to me but because of what life had thrown at me, there were times I didnt think I would make it but your help and  support has given me a new outlook.

The support and training we have had is better  than we could of ever imagined. The course has catapulted us into a whirlwind of pleasure. Our salon is now open and has a full client list for the two of us heading ino February 2018.

A BIG THANK YOU to the staff and students for a wonderful  training. It's been a real journey and just fab to see so many people begin and end the course during my time there  - I feel like I've been going for years, not months!
